With Your Help, We Can Save Lives of Richmond’s Cats and Kittens

Our mission is to "Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome, Repeat" and you make this work possible!

Did you know it costs $225 for us to intake a cat? Every penny helps us save a life.

Volunteer Opportunities

Give back to the Richmond area community and make a difference to all of the kittens and cats who are in need of your love.

Volunteers can care and play with our foster cats at our boutique and local cat stands, answer e-mails, plan events and more!

We are a 100% volunteer lead organization so thank you for helping.

Why Volunteer? Richmond Animal Shelters Need Your Help!

Spread Awareness

Because we are a 100% volunteer run organization, the more people we have to help us spread our message, the more lives we can save.

Help us share on social media, coordinate and assist at scheduled adoption stands and educational on-site and off-site events.

Save Cats Lives

We care for cats and kittens who come from all kinds of situations and backgrounds.

By volunteering, you have so many opportunities to help save these animals from neglect or abuse.

Earn Community Hours

For students, volunteering is an opportunity to earn community hour credits.

We work with students all over the Richmond area and encourage them to come learn about the impact volunteering has on the cats.

Foster Kittens and Cats

We're always looking for fosters willing to open their homes to community cats!

All of our cats are fostered in the homes of volunteers, waiting to be adopted or decompressing from their shelter stay.

Foster care training is provided for anyone interested in opening your home to our rescues on a temporary basis.

Fostering in Richmond: Easy and Rewarding

All food and litter is provided

Fostering should not be a financial burden to someone who is willing to give their time to helping these animals.

The rescue provides fosters with the food and litter they need to take care of the cat.

Medical care is covered

When a foster cat or kitten is sick, we will work with you to get them into a vet as soon as possible and cover medical costs.

We provide you lots of guidance and support

Are you worried because you’ve never fostered you might not know what to do? We will train you and give you the resources and assistance to make sure you are comfortable and supported when you foster.

For every one cat you foster,
two cats are saved.

“If you can't adopt, foster.

If you can't foster, sponsor.

If you can't sponsor, volunteer.

If you can't volunteer, donate.

If you can't donate, educate.

Please share and network animals in need. Everyone can do something to help save a life.”
